My morning commute

I take a ferry to and from work in the morning, and yesterday, my first day of work, Jake was laughing at me because I was so geeked up on my way in - pointing out the obvious like the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the Taronga Zoo. We took the fast ferry, the same boat they take out in the afternoon to go whale watching...hoping to see one on my commute in some day.

(Seeing a whale would definitely be a highlight compared to seeing rats on the subway tracks during my NY commute). :)

When I got into work, I met Dan & AJ - my new boss & co-worker, both are absolutely amazing, and I'm so looking forward to working with them on the Sony account. We went out and grabbed a coffee...the coffee in Australia is to die for - rivals Italian cafes, thanks to the Italians who immigrated here and took their coffee & pizza with them. I'm still trying to get used to ordering coffee...whether it be a 'long black', and a 'black and white' or a 'flat white', trying to not sound like a total jerk and figure out what kind of coffee I like. I usually just drink black at home - but it's all a bit more like espresso here, so experimenting my way through the best way to start my morning.
I'll get to my 1st day of work in the next post, but wanted to share my view from my ferry ride - stunning - I feel so lucky.
